The Lifestyle Center near Plant City, Florida is secluded in the subtropical coastal region of the Sunshine State. It is about 30 minutes, or 26 miles inland from the Gulf Coast city of Tampa, rated by Forbes Magazine in 2008 as one of the top five cities for outdoor pursuits in the United States.
Hosts Dave and Sherry Orcutt say their center stays busy year round because of the warm climate and so much to do in Central Florida. Orlando, home of Disney World, is an hour's drive to the northeast. Tampa Bay's Busch Gardens, described as the ultimate theme park with its world-famous roller coasters, also is home to the lovable Busch Clydesdale horses featured in national ads.
Adventurers of all ages are fascinated at the Kennedy Space Center and at WonderWorks, where you can pilot a fighter jet in a flight simulator, and feel what a 5.3 earthquake or a 65 MPH hurricane is like. Tampa's NFL Buccaneers, NHL Tampa Bay Lightning, and the Tampa Bay Rays, a major league baseball team, keep sports fans charged up.
The year-round climate makes Plant City the world's strawberry-growing capital. You'll always find abundant organically grown strawberries on the Plant City Lifestyle Center's menus. You'll also find that the Plant City Lifestyle Center's secluded six-acre property, surrounded by walkable country lanes, is a pleasant retreat from all the razzmatazz and amusements in the region.
Dave and Sherry Orcutt cautiously and hopefully tried the Hallelujah Diet in 2001, when Dave was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. A year later, they were so thrilled with the complete disappearance of all indicators of the disease that they decided to commit their lives to teaching others the principles of the living foods lifestyle.
The Plant City Lifestyle Center is a dream come true for Sherry and Dave Orcutt, who give God the glory for their southern neo-colonial house.
They purchased it as an ideal place to establish a bed and breakfast inn that would serve foods prepared the Hallelujah way. By divine coincidence, they soon became the second Hallelujah Acres Lifestyle Center location.
Guests enjoy the benefits of the couple’s gracious hospitality, their years of experience in living the lifestyle, and Sherry’s innovative culinary gifts.
The two-story, neocolonial-style Plant City Lifestyle Center, on six forested, subtropical acres, is the stuff of southern picture magazines.
Six plush guest bedrooms with private baths, two on the ground floor and four upstairs, are decorated according to themes—the Noah’s Ark Room, the Palm Tree Room, Lighthouse and Vineyard Rooms Suite, the Birds of Paradise Room, and the King David Room. Each is furnished with queen and king beds and are fit for royalty.
Sherry Orcutt enjoys indulging her guests through beautifully appointed rooms as well as with the best healthy food.
The dining room sparkles with a grand crystal chandelier. Details such as a painted mural and bay windows complete a luxurious interior.
A library full of informative books and videos on health-related topics is at your disposal.
Outside, quiet country lanes wait for exploration.

In early September 2008 I found out I had colon cancer after I had my first “baseline” colonoscopy at 52 years old. So much for routine procedures! Actually, the tumor was in the anal canal and fits in the ‘colorectal cancer’ group, so I usually only tell people the location
